My approach
I’ve worked one-on-one with more than 100 private students since 2013. I teach kids as young as five and adults in their 80s.
I don’t promote any one genre or style — curriculum starts from what moves the student, and everything builds from there. That’s what makes it worth the hours of practice it takes to get good.
With 15 instruments in the studio, we can work in whichever direction you want to go, and switch as your interests evolve.
What we’ll cover

What students say
Ryan is an awesome guitar teacher who makes learning guitar fun. He is very flexible and helps you figure out how you want to approach learning guitar — whether it’s favorite songs, techniques, or geeking out on complex music theory.
— Sean O.
My son never truly enjoyed music lessons until we discovered Ryan. He does a great job of meeting you where you’re at, taking the ‘chore’ out of lessons, and has a way of approaching music that makes practice enjoyable.
— Pierce A.
My three children have been studying guitar with Ryan for two months and we couldn’t be happier. After trying lessons with two other teachers, it is such a relief to have a teacher who is reliable and exceptionally skilled. My kids absolutely love him, and they are making much faster progress under his tutelage. Five stars, all the way.
— Pamela W.
Ryan is a first-class musician and a first-class human being. My daughter’s guitar playing has improved immeasurably while working with Ryan — and just as importantly, she’s loved the process.
— Eric S.
Working with Ryan has not only been a fun and engaging experience, but my guitar playing and musical understanding have grown exponentially since the start of my lessons.
— Madeline S.
